Programs

EXISTING PROGRAMS
 

The MAANAIM Educational Center serves an average of 160 children and adolescents, free of charge, both boys and girls, ages 3 through 18 years, from the Parelheiros area, offering the following programs: 

Nutrition & Health 

Three meals are provided daily Monday through Friday, planned and prepared, under the supervision of a nutritionist.

A fully equipped medical and dental clinic will be providing regular check-ups in 3 phases:

  • To the children enrolled at MAANAIM Educational Center.
  • To the immediate family members of the children free of charge.
  • to the community members for a nominal cost.


Pre-School education, offered to ages 3 to 6,  is divided into four categories:

  • Module Yellow  - children 3 years of age
  • Module Red - children 4 years of age
  • Module Green - children 5 years of age
  • Module Blue - children 6 years of age

Supplemental enrichment classes offered to ages 7 to 14:

  • Communication & verbal expression
  • Math, Science and Social Studies
  • Arts: Handicraft, Music, Theater
  • Computer Science

Vocational & professional training are also offered to ages 15 to 18:

  • Basics in accounting
  • Computer Science

Sports & Recreation:

Through sports we are teaching responsibility and discipline, building their social skills, helping them to become productive members of society.

Social assistance to families

 
Social assistance programs are provided for the children's families. They consist of providing counseling and educational seminars on hygiene, child education, psychology, job placement etc.
